Milka was admitted to the bar in 2009. She holds a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M Human Rights & Constitutional Law) from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from University of Nairobi, and a Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. She holds several Certificates in Human Rights and Law from various institutions of repute including the Human Rights Development Initiative-South Africa (HRDI), the Centre for Human Rights-University of Pretoria and the Human Rights and Peace Centre-Makerere University. Milka has a comprehensive understanding and practical interaction with regional and international legal instruments and institutions including the Committee on Economic Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR), the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and the East African Court of Justice. Milka is a law lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology and Agriculture. She specializes in family law and Human Rights and Constitutional litigation, and particularly the rights of minority and marginalised persons.
Claude is a law student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology and Agriculture. He is the Secretary General of the Student’s Union JKUAT-Karen Campus, and a member of the Legal aid clinic. Claude is passionate about social justice, leadership, and mentorship. He is a volunteer peer teacher and counselor at St. Augustine Kisami Mixed High School.
Robert is an intersex person and activist. He is passionate about intersex rights and has been
instrumental in advocacy aimed towards achieving intersex rights. He was the first intersex person to
try and vie for a political seat.
Justice Monica Mbaru is a Judge of Employment and Labour Relations Court in the Republic of Kenya. She is a renown human rights defender with over two decades experience of leading programmes across the continent.
