Milka Wahu Kuria
Milka was admitted to the bar in 2009. She holds a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M Human Rights & Constitutional Law) from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from University of Nairobi, and a Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. She holds several Certificates in Human Rights and Law from various institutions of repute including the Human Rights Development Initiative-South Africa (HRDI), the Centre for Human Rights-University of Pretoria and the Human Rights and Peace Centre-Makerere University. Milka has a comprehensive understanding and practical interaction with regional and international legal instruments and institutions including the Committee on Economic Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR), the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and the East African Court of Justice. Milka is a law lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology and Agriculture. She specializes in family law and Human Rights and Constitutional litigation, and particularly the rights of minority and marginalised persons.
